We’re coming together for something that matters. In honour of Kate Bourne and in support of the incredible work Lingen Davies Cancer Fund do for people across Shropshire and Mid Wales, we’re taking on a shared challenge:
300 miles in 12 hours ...across the Ski Ergs, Air Bikes, Rower and Running!
This is a community effort… done as a team.
Why we’re doing it
Kate was part of our Nexus family and her strength, humour and grit shaped the way many of us train and show up for each other. This event is our way of honouring her, supporting others going through cancer treatment and giving back to a charity that makes a real difference locally.
Why 300miles? The total distance of Kate’s running medals!
All funds raised will go directly to Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

How the day works
- Between 8am – 8pm we will aim to complete 25 miles every hour using an Air Bike, Ski Erg, Rower and running.
- We will open up 15 minute slots for each piece of kit for you to jump in and add some miles.
- Team Nexus members, friends, family and anyone who knew and loved Kate is welcome to join us for this event!
- All we need you to do is to commit to a slot or two (or three!) ahead of the big event.
- You don’t need to be fast… you just need to give it a go! This is a team endurance event after all.
- AND if you don’t fancy jumping in, please come and support us on the day instead.
- Juniors can take part too! Jumping on either the second Air Bike or Ski Erg.
- We’ll keep a running total throughout the day so you can see the progress build.
- We will pop up the gazebo and provide high energy snacks to fuel us through the day... all food and drink donations gratefully received!
- Our final 15 minute stint will involve a group effort - so, if you've been with us earlier in the day? Head back for 7:30pm to join us for our grand finale!
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
MOVE
Jump on a machine for 15 minutes, mix up your machines for an hour... go home and come back!
All we need to do is make sure our rota is full before the big day!
There will be a sign up sheet at the studio one month before.
