Spin x Circuit sessions combine a short spin class with a circuit-based workout! You will alternate periods of effort with periods of rest. Moving to the beat of the music, we manipulate the resistance to mimic hill climbs and sprints for a great cardiovascular workout! Don’t worry though… you control our own resistance on the bike. For our circuit we use battleropes, tyres, slamballs and other strength kit to help improve your muscle definition! You choose which weights to pick up, making this session suitable for all!

We have all heard horror stories of feet falling out of pedals and embarrassing slips. Many of us have seen Bridget Jones! Spin classes at Nexus Fitness are something a little different. They are accessible, challenging but fun! SPIN45 classes are designed to improve your heart and lung health whilst strengthening the muscles of the lower body. Great music and ambient lighting will be sure to improve your mindset and the group environment means you are supported by likeminded people throughout!

Disco Spin is the ultimate mood boosting class. Think 80s, 90s and 00s music. Think lights down low and disco lights on! Think high energy and plenty of encouragement, support and laughs!! Disco Spin classes are our favourite way to bring in the weekend! These classes are up to 45 minutes of hard work, but are also great fun!

Are you interested in using free weights but get bored of the gym environment? Need a little extra guidance to understand what on earth you are doing!? There are so many benefits of strength training! This session focuses on deadlifts, squats, presses and other weights-based movements to develop your skill and boost your confidence! With a smaller cap on numbers than our other sessions, you can enjoy more individualised coach feedback and guidance.

Are you really using your tummy muscles to perform that sit up? Do you really understand how to engage your core? This slower paced session focuses on that all important mind-body connection to help you recruit the muscles of your tummy, bum and back... strengthening your entire core! We recommend this class as an excellent addition to any fitness programme - designed for injury prevention, to build strong foundations and to improve everyday movements.

tone is a well rounded, low impact class that focuses on adding definition to your physique. This class will also include some floor work, targeting those core muscles and glutes, weighted exercises to tone your physique and higher repetitions to challenge your cardiovascular fitness! Suitable for all ages and abilities! We particularly recommend this one for those looking for a low impact way of using resistance training to decrease their blood pressure!

This class mixes short, hard efforts with recovery time in a great cardiovascular workout. With frequent recovery breaks, experiences exercisers can expect to be pushed to at least 80% effort during their intervals. These short intervals and frequent rest periods also make this session a great one for children, new starters and beginners to exercise... allowing you to work at a lower intensity should you wish! This is one whole body workout, aimed to hit your cardiovascular system and target every major muscle group!

The Battle Circuit encourages you to challenge yourself to complete big compound movements and exciting exercise combinations! These sessions are designed to target every major muscle group and burn major calories using the Nexus take on traditional circuit equipment! Think battleropes, tyres and kettlebells, slamballs and sandbags! The Battle Circuit is one of our most popular classes - we advise booking well in advance!

Travel around the gym completing different exercise combinations in this traditional circuit class. Circuits are designed to target every major muscle group, while mixing in strength, cardio and resistance training! You dictate which weights to pick up, how high to jump and how fast to move, making this class suitable for most fitness levels and abilities. Short attention span? Nexus 360 is our signature Group X session! This is one big, whole body, group workout using each area of the studio . We transition from a great strength workout to an even better functional workout to our cardio machines for a group cardio session! This is our biggest class and our most varied... but you will be supported throughout and can expect to leave the studio buzzing from the group atmosphere and team camaraderie!!
