A NOTE FROM ME (KATY)
A big THANK YOU once again for your commitment and loyalty to Nexus Fitness. I say something like this each year, but I honestly can’t believe we are about to head through our third Spring! It seems like only yesterday we were driving across the country to pick up benches and equipment for our new studio!
 
Spring signals that it’s that time of year again! Rising operating costs and general inflation mean that I must write to let you know of our price changes for 2025.
 
I've taken the same approach to prices changes this year as I have done in previous years. I value your loyalty and support and words cannot tell you how much I appreciate each and every member for helping us to keep the vibe at the studio so positive! With this in mind, I have once again kept price rises for our recurring memberships to an absolute minimum - our PAYG options will see the largest increase in price. 
 
April will also see a couple of changes. I’ve popped a quick summary below...
 
  • GOLD PLUS MEMBERS WILL FIND THEIR MEMBERSHIP CONVERTED TO A NEW PLATINUM 1 MEMBERSHIP. From April, all PLATINUM memberships include unlimited classes (including Platinum 1, 3, 6, and 12). The only implications for your current membership is a change of name. How your membership works will remain exactly the same. This will take place automatically in April.
  • The reason for the above change is to allow us to bring back our GOLD membership option. You will now have the option to purchase a recurring membership of 12 passes every 4 weeks - just as we did a couple of years ago. ​​
 

What have we achieved this year?

A QUICK REFLECTION
Since day one, it has been my mission to grow Nexus Fitness gradually, to build from modest foundations and to reinvest. This is a mission that we have been continually working on! Since April 2024 we have been able to add the following bits of kit to your fitness studio...
  • Primal Strength Ski Erg​
  • Two Assault Air Bikes
  • Deadlifting Platform
  • Further Olympic barbells and weight plates
  • Further (and heavier!) dumbbells
  • Lots of little accessories... including the invaluable deadlifting mini jack and squat ramps!
  • Two Benches
  • A Dual Cable Machine
  • A whole rack of new slamballs
  • Yoga mats​​
We've also welcomed a new coach to the team. Katy has brought with her a love and passion for YOGA, adding a class to our timetable. It's something we've waited over two years for, wanting to find the right person! The future for yoga looks exciting!

We've upskilled ourselves with new qualifications and undertaken courses. This has enabled us to support pre/post natal women and those with additional requirements and pre-existing medical conditions. It's also enabled us to bring higher quality coaching, knowledge and support to your sessions.

We have celebrated our second anniversary with an Anniversary Games in August. Events like this bring the whole Nexus community together and it fills us with such pride to see the friendships and support networks that have been formed since we opened.

So, with your support, we have not only been able to reinvest heavily into Nexus Fitness this year, better our offering and continue to grow our membership base... but also meet the rising costs of electric, water, rates, rent, insurance, licenses, systems, WiFi... the list goes on! So...
